In addition to being a researcher at the Institute of the Czech National Corpus, I also work on DIALLS project at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. Before joining DIALLS, I was a Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Birmingham working on GLARE project “Exploring Gender in Children’s Literature from a Cognitive Corpus Stylistic Perspective”. My main research interests are in the language of children’s literature, contrastive linguistics, literary translations and more recently also in how children talk and create meaning. I am also involved in the initiative to create a new International Comparable Corpus (ICC). I am a member of the ICAME Executive Board, the Advisory Board of the CliC Dickens project and the Editorial Board of Applied Corpus Linguistics journal.
